Well as well as the French coins i picked up a few other things, here's another sixpence for my date set, so 1683 is now ticked off!
Really a great piece of history Sylvester!!! Hope someday to add some to my collection. Thanks for the opportunity to see it here!
Here we go, sixpences a plenty. I'm currently updating this display. (I still own all of these coins except for the last two, the tin farthing and the James II half guinea were sold last summer). http://www.omnicoin.com/user_view.aspx?id=Sylvester
Nice 6d to add to the collection. I was just looking at my 6d and 3d the other night. A pleasant curse visited upon me by my good friend Syl. They're really neat.
Hey Art, if you want more sixpences i can do a trade if you'd like. I'm having problems getting hold of German 5 Reichpfennigs, 1936-1944 for the A mint (Berlin) in MS63 or so... it's very frustrating. I know of a dealer in the US that sells them but getting someone to paypal for me is proving difficult, but i could pick you up some nice Sixpences, 1750s or 1787 types for a good price, in exchange for those pfennigs.
