I need to know the price for the noticeable conditions. and if some one can help me I'de be glad. Thanks, TQ p.s. Thanks to the great experts that here in CoinTalk I have managed to get the hold on which is which in Bank notes of Russia - I'm sure that I'm at the begining but I had a good start thank to the members of this forum
beautiful notes there!!! I dont have access to my book right now, but hopefully someone will be by that does to give any prices. Good luck! as those are sure to be pricey
Until recently the prices were higher than they were listed for in the Krause catalogue, which got seriously out of reality with some prices - way too low in some areas, way too high in others. These are attractive notes, and popular because of the ABNCo connection. They are common however, as most of them never made it to Russia because of the Russian Revolution. I would not be comfortable paying more than about $25 for each of them in crisp uncirculated, you can find them at higher BIN's on eBay stores, but their prices are ridiculous. I bought my 25 ruble note I believe from a seller in Korea, I would not have bought it by itself because the postage was a killer, but he had several other decent Russian notes including the Vladikavkaz Railroad issue that I wanted.
While I still cannot give you the catalogue numbers for these notes, they are the Far East Provisional Government notes found in Pick Volume I under Russia. The difference between these notes and the notes found under Russia in Volume II is the additional brown signatures on the front just below the printed black signatures. I agree with Scottishmoney regarding the pricing and availability of these notes.
Some of these notes also have a counter stamp on the reverse from 3 different parts of Russia. Also the price will vary depending on counter stamp. If you need catalog numbers for the counter stamped notes I'll look them up in my catalog for you. Lou
