    Hey... I have this coin:

    (attached)

I have heard that it is roman, from where I got it... (from an auction).

It was very filthy when I received it, and I am in the middle of cleaning it at the moment.

Do you think any of you could give me any more information?

    Thanks

Roman, 350s-370s most likely. Will need close-ups of boths sides to at least attribute it to a particular emperor, and reverse type.

    BTW, welcome!

    Reverse type?

I'll scan the back of it once I clean it a bit more, it's still quite filthy.

Hmm. It appears that the back is a man with a sword, stabbing some sort of animal.

    I see the letter "w" or "m".

I need to clean it better, before it will turn out decently scanned though.

Sounds like a "FEL TEMP REPARATIO" reverse, with a Roman soldier spearing a fallen enemy horseman. I'll get a scan up of one if I get the time.
