I have a ton of 2009-D dimes, I'm going to spend them. The ones that were in the worst condition I already dumped. I doubt if any of the ones I have left are better than XF, so I'm going to catch and release.
I pick up 3 rolls of quarters at one branch and 3 rolls of quarters at another branch. 239 coins of Dr. Reverend Pauli Murray (which I don't need.) Maybe I can find an upgrade, but even though the luster is good, the Loomis coin machine scratch every coin it touches.
I also haven't seen a Patsy Takamoto, and my lone Jovita Idar is not album worthy. My bio rhythms must be in the toilet.

You should spend the dimes in New York. Will add to my chances

Nickel box #9 had nothing in it that wasn't a Jefferson nickel, but did get decent upgrades on my 1941-D and 1955, as well as a few slight upgrades on some random dates (really nice 1975-D, 2004-D peace medal).

Here's all the finds worthy of note, even if they are extras:
    1940-S
    1941
    1941-D (upgrade)
    1948
    1952-D
    1953-S
1955 (semi-key, and much better condition than what I had before!)
    1955-D
    1956
    1957-D x2
    1959-D x2
2009-D (still save these, relatively low mintage)

So not much super-exciting; the highlight was being able to replace my 1955 that previously was quite damaged with a nasty looking ink stain on it, so there's that I guess. Upgraded a few I already had, nothing super rare but if I ever find a particularly nice condition one I'll put it in the book if it's better than what I had, and found a few in the 80's and 90's that were pretty decent.

I'll definitely keep doing this though; especially on the look out for the elusive 1949-S and 1950-D, war nickels, and 1938's. As well as any other finds of significance (have found 4 Buffalos to date).

    Nickel box #10 ($100, 50 rolls, 2000 nickels):

First want to mention the only empty spot filled from this box, a 1942-P war nickel.
Got a nice 1981-P upgrade too.

    dateless Buffalo nickel
    1939 x3
    1940 x2
    1946-D
    1949-D
    1953-S
    1954-D x2
    1956-D
    1957-D
    1958-D x2
    1959-D

Not bad results, honestly, I think a little better than the previous box. And war nickels and buffalo nickels (even dateless) are always nice finds.

The last W I got was October 2023. Picked up 6 rolls yesterday. 20 looks and an Acadia that I pulled out. 1-20. And it's one I needed.

My latest nickel box consisted of a few fun finds. Leading the way was a 1996-S proof followed by 1941 and 1952 S mintages. Additionally there were two 2009 finds. The early decade count revealed a 1939, six from the 1940s and seven from the 1950s.

Nearly finished with my collection of Jefferson nickels, and have often been tempted to just buy the ones I'm missing. But that feels like cheating somehow; I want to see how close I can get just roll hunting. Also kind of takes the fun out of it lol. So I've decided will keep roll hunting until I either finish the set, or go an entire box without finding anything to add or nothing worth keeping (other than duplicates of nickels I already have). Will grab another box to go through as soon as is feasible.

001.jpg 003.jpg 002.jpg Went to the BofA recently and got 10 wrapped Brinks rolls and came across this! Pretty sure this 72 cent is the FS-103 DDO after doing some checking. If it had been brown, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it.

I'm no varieties/errors guy, but that certainly looks like something more than strike doubling.

Another completed nickel box was highlighted by a well worn 1928 Buffalo and two S mintage Jefferson’s. The early decade count noted one 1939, six from the 1940’s and nine from the 1950’s
