$270 MWR halves, 2 CWR halves, and $7.50 loose halves from 3 banks tonight yielded:

    Nothing collectible :hungover:

On the bright side I ordered $500 in halves from the last bank I visited

I finally found 2 40% Kennedys in the last box I hunted. I was beginning to think silver has dried up. By the way, what does MWR and CWR stand for? I assume C means customer or counter (i.e. customer wrapped roll). Does MWR mean Mint wrapped roll?

I'm still sitting on all the nickels dated before 1987 that I have found looking through about $1500 of rolls. Curiously, I do not see sellers offering the different mint mark locations found on these dates. So... maybe I should just dump the 70s and 80s and sit only on the older. The $70+ worth of 1964 dated nickels is mighty impressive.

I located my rather large jar which is about 2/3 full of pennies.
Got a lot to look at!

    Man2004,
First, congrats on breaking your skunk streak!

Second, a MWR is a machine wrapped roll, which is typically from Loomis, Garda, Brinks, etc. Only very rarely do I find MWRs from the US Mint at a bank. Very rarely as in 1 time in 5 years and thousands of coin rolls searched.

Got a full box of 2017 nickels, trying my luck selling them on eBay to people that need. Normally I'd just throw it back, but if I can make a couple bucks for college all the better! If any of you are looking for them let me know and we can work something out. Any of you guys do this as well?

Also, I went through a friends change jar. Nothing crazy except for a 1944 and 1937 S cent. I don't remember the last time I got a San Fran wheat!

I went to town for my Sister. Took my coins to our bank.
Did dimes first and got a significantly better 1974P.
And that was it for dimes.

Oh how could I forget. I walk into the bank, still in the lobby area (in between the outside and inside doors) and a teller locks eyes with me a gets all excited and points to me. Of course I know somethings up. She was like oh man you just missed these coins a couple days ago. She pulls out 11 ike dollars. Such a sweet lady, even if they weren't special in particular, i still enjoy finding them. Funny thing is I don't even have an account at that bank.

I'm getting sort of like that with a teller at the second bank in town and one at the main bank. Problem is that in my little town very few old, foreign or modern halves or dollars show up.
I'd really like to have at least one of each dead President!

Oh. And going through my penny jar has given up several of my second spare set of pennies.

Alright, Labor Day Weekend. I have only done 2 boxes of halves this week which yielded nothing. I am trying to get at least one more for the week. Had an awesome week before. Just want to see some of those silver rims. Best feeling ever!

Got $80 in dimes and $60 in nickels from the CU and WF and didn't find anything except a probably machine-doubled-reverse nickel. Then the next morning I reached into my pocket for my keys and was surprised to feel one last roll of dimes, which I opened and found a gnarly 1954 Roosie :)

Halves are pretty much a no-go in my neck of the woods. I've been to over 30 banks and credit unions in the past week and only found a handful of them. Does anyone with an account at Wells Fargo or Bank of America know if they still order boxes of halves?

Did 5 nickel rolls all in a row. Saw a 1966 as good as mine so it got flipped into the extras box. Also a 1946S that was rather stained. And i already had a good one. So back into circulation it goes.

    Pennies have given a 44P wheatie. A 42D wheatie.
    And a splendid clean 83D.
Haven't yet seen if I need the 42 or 44 yet.
That's coming up after I hit "post".

Neither was good enough to replace my primary coins.
But the 42 was MUCH better than my secondary one.
And the 44 was a little better. 4 more penny rolls for the morning before going banking to the drive through.
