What is your opnion on this morgan, I dont recall ever seeing a morgan with a denver mintmark but then again im new in the collecting world.

And what do you think about the golden toning?

The faces are mirror like with some scratches but the reeds seem to be worn quite a bit.

    Help Please!

1921 was the last year for the morgan dollar, it was minted in Denver (D) San Francisco (S) and Philly (no mintmark)

Well you are seeing it in hand, and I from images. But that thing looks dipped, whipped and put away stripped.

If it was dipped how come only the edges are golden wouldnt the whole thing be gold?

As I said, you are seeing it in hand and I from photos with too much light on the coin which is obscuring any tone on the coin.

Again, from those photos, I see no toning on the rim or any other part of the coin.

I see no reason to beleive it isn't a real 1921 D cleaned Morgan dollar.

They made over 20 million in Denver that year.

There is no indictation it was cleaned, It dosent have those kind of scratches that are in line with each other, just has normal ware scratces.

I stand by my comment. But either way, you were just asking if it is real. So yes, I beleive it is real.

There are other forms of cleaning a coin that do not enlist the use of a brush that would leave the scratches, or brush marks on the surfaces.

Simply dipping a coin, rinsing it, then pat drying it with a soft cloth is one way.

As I stated, dipped, whipped and put away stripped.
