I like your coins but it's hard to see how nice your coins are because photos taken using a loupe or other type of glass seem to hide the details.
Yup, my pic's are bad I'm using a table type cup magnifying glass that has a clear plastic side that lays on the table, but I still need to point a flashlight at the side to see the coin, then i'm using my cheap flip phone over it to take the pics.. The little white specs you see on most of the pics are from tissue paper or paper towels after trying to clean the lens.. It's so barbaric I know.. A month ago I ordered one of those USB computer scope gizmos from ebay and after waiting two weeks I found out the order was cancelled due to the seller running out of stock. I just haven't got around to looking for another one to buy.. Sorry for the long winded post
I just ordered this one. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XNYXQHE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The one I ordered was very similar, it just looked a little thinner and cheaper by the pic. Rick, please let me know how it works out, i'm going to wait for you if you don't mind. I saw mixed reviews on my out of stock one..
Sure, I will let you know! But please remind me in about a week by posting here again about it. I will get an email notification for this thread.
Do all 1943 steel cents have the VDB initials? I have one but can't see it. It might just be worn off. I got it free. I need to replace it in my Type Set with a nicer one. Looking on ebay, it looks like VDB is NOT on steelies. But I read somewhere that it was on them. Wikipedia says "The 1943 steel cent features the same Victor David Brenner design for the Lincoln cent which had been in use since 1909." Oddly enough, I don't see it on the picture of the cent on the same Wiki page that says it does have the VDB.
