    Nice start to a possible collection Afghanistany notes are for the most part quite cheap (thankfuly LOL) so you could build up a nice collection quite fast

    is that tape on the second banknote? I remember one time taping a dollar bill together and the cashier not wanting to take it.

    well in Afghanistan tape can be used to join a torn banknote if its not torn completely in two different pieces

    To say that JNite's original post features notes from the 2002 issue then I'd have to agree they've had a very hard short life. All my Afghani notes (except my 1 Afghani note of 2002) are older and in much better condition.

    I have some 1 and 2 afghani notes that are dated 1939 and are in far better condition then most one dollar bills ...
