I wouldn't add it to my collection even if they offered to give it to me for free.

Let's remember to distinguish between "selling for" and "offered at."

The seller describes the problem on the reverse as "minor die rust" - there's nothing minor about it. Arethusa looks like a leper. That's a real shame because otherwise it's a stunning coin.

The Alexander III coins are overpriced in my opinion. Like others also mentioned, Athenian owls as well. I can’t imagine demand and their abundance equal prices in the several hundreds, maybe $200 would be nice. Other than that, I think Nero’s coins are a bit overpriced

That isn't the only problem, another issue is that the vast majority of the pricier ones aren't even in a particularly good shape!

I don't know about the vast majority, but there were some so-called "emperors" that lasted a couple of weeks if they were lucky before being bumped off, left no trace in history other than one or two dubious scraps of barely readable bronze.
And there are those who need one of each ruler no matter how ephemeral, and will pay through the nose!

Yeah, anything that the general public knows about is generally overpriced compared to other ancients. 12 Caesars, Biblically related, JC, Cleo VII, M Antony, coins like owls and Alexander the Great coinage, etc.

However, I would say compared to other ancients since I also believe generally ancients are underpriced, (though much higher than 25 years ago).
