[CLOSED] Error Coin Giveaway

Well my last post I did not have a coin yet... I had to find the most perfect rare coin so it wasn't til this morn walking the hounds did lady luck smiled on me! For you viewing pleasure....a ''Rare 1964 D Jefferson nickel with a mintage of only 1,787,297,860 ! This nickel has several varieties it's a ddo, and ddr, with a rpm , it also been struck through.... those marks aren't scratches they are where the nickel was in the road ,and got "struck"
While it was laying on top something else ...."struck though "....the D is a rpm ,and another plus its a lamination error! Look at Toms head lamination!!!
Plus you can definitely see it was a FS nickel......plus the cud at 11 k unbelievable find!
I can't wait to take it later to my LCS to verify this truly rare find!
I'll betcha this is the one that I can retire on.. .

I made this one myself, well not totally by myself, I had the help of a train and a railroad track...but I did place it between the two of them when I was about 12 years old. The good old days, when jumping onto moving freight trains to take a joy ride across town was fine, safe entertainment. Clad washington quarter, unknown date, squashed into an egg-ceptional specimen!

The first 1/2 cent struck in 150+ years!

 

Turkey. Definitely did not come out of the mint this way. The best I can surmise is that someone has commemorated the 1908 Great Car Race by mounting what appears to be an REO (Ransom Eli Olds) lapel pin into a 1908 half penny. Then of course drilled a hole to hang it on their key chain. I had a heck of a time figuring this one out because I had no idea about the car race or what the heck REO (which I originally thought said RFO) stood for. Definitely one interesting "coin".

 

Not an entry. Just enjoying looking at the "dregs "of our fantastic hobby.

Geez! You are right. Thank you, I changed it. I just pulled it out from a file of my pics and in my mind, I remembered it as a quarter. What a weenie. You can take away my trophy points.

I haven't looked at it in hand for some time, however as I remember, I couldn't make anything out.
