Aside from the mintmark the uncirculated coin has a burnished finish, which in my opinion isn’t that much different than the standard bullion coin. Maybe a touch darker in color sometimes.

I have one thought about the 2021 ASE Type 2 PF70DCAM UC FD01. How do these people know the condition of the coins they purchase, unless they have an insider that cherrypicks the coins? I am only a little bit curious about the coins being sold on ebay. I was able to get 3 from my Enrollments. I will not have them graded. I would like to have my Type 1 and Type 2 in a slab together. Does anyone know where I might have a slab for 2 coins?

Pinehurst that got 400 knows that some are PF70 Dcam or PF69Dcam so they send for grading and break out. Never seen a double capsule for silver dollars but I do have a Littelton coin album for ASE's but years 1986-2014 but only put in regular ASE's. I keep all my proofs in COA with box ?

I assume that "Pinehurst" is a dealer. How did they get those PF70 DCAM, etc. ahead of them being purchased and received? Are they standing at the door of the Mint and then NGC/PCGS to have them graded. The listings on ebay were made before the Mint opened up for purchasing the ASEs. Am I missing something. I don't buy from them. In my earlier days, before Coin Talk, I bought 5 BU Morgans from Mike and an ASE from Rick. Since then, I buy from the Mint, ebay, and Mount Vernon. I am selective what I buy. I have not sent any coins to be slabbed. Again, in my earlier days, I bought to gold coins from a local dealer, that is now a good friend. He took those coins to a show and had them slabbed.

Yes, presales. They just sell them and then ship them when they get them. If they come up sort they cancel the sale but they generally can get what they want

I like both types. I was able to get 1 ASE Proof Coin Type 1. I hadn't thought about getting another one. I got an email from the Mint telling me that I will be getting 2 ASE Proof Type 1 coins. I had hope to put one of each type in a two coin set. My doctor got the bug about a year ago, so I think if I can get another Type 1 ASE, I will give them to him. He has been my doctor and my friend for 20 plus years ago when I got hit by a early morning milk truck while I was jogging. There's a long story about our friendship. Anyway, I got him interested in coin collecting. He's not too into it because he works about 20 hours a day. His wife passed away last year. I sat with him for a week. Thankfully, he's back a work and now has a friend.

Statistics. From past experience they know that if they bulk submit X number of PF ASE's roughly Y number will come back as PF70's

I was too confident that I could get 3 new ASE's. It showed up as pending on my credit card for 3 days and this morning, it was gone. It still shows up as processing on my Orders, but I have seen that before and then get an email that they were out of stock. I have 2 accounts with the Mint due to their mistake. I had the Silver Proof Set in my 2 Accounts Enrollments and and got 2 Silver Proof Sets. I guess they caught on to "their" mistakes due to the amount of ASEs involved. Oh well!

Don't intend to get one. I do not like the design change. To me its too reminiscent of several of the Red Tail Hawk designs (nothing wrong with the RTH's, just don't want my Eagle to look like one)o_O. And I hate the way they chopped the Eagles left wing.

I’m not a fan of graded bullion, but I decided to get this one. Makes a cool presentation.
