need 1970 cent help

    I just found, in pocket change, 1979 Lincoln cent (no pics sorry)

    It seems to be about F-VF but here's the thing...

    I don't know what a small date or large date is?
    And I don't see a mintmark?
    Also, the "1" is higher than then rest of the numbers in the year and there is approx. 10% rotation on the reverse.

    Any thoughts??

    Also, the large verse small date only is with the 1970-S. If your coin doesn't have an "S" mint mark below the date, then there is no large or small varieties. Based on your description, your coin doesn't have a mint mark.

    the last Lmc w/ large & small listing is 1974? is it not?

    True!!!!!! I forgot that year. and I should not have!!! mine was thing 70's not 80's
