Long story short, this was among things that my wife got from her grandmother. It appears to be a medal commemorating the marriage of Napoleon to his second wife Marie Louise in 1810. It is set in something with a pin on the back. My instinct was that this was a reproduction, but I don't know why such a thing would exist. Do they sell Napoleon medals to tourists in France? I'm not really sure why anyone would have worn this thing. But if it's real that makes it a lot cooler. Anyone have any ideas? PXL_20240508_151719106.jpg PXL_20240508_151738839.jpg
