    This is smashed/clashed or rubbed off the die? The obverse is interesting the face is flat and featureless. The E.pluribus unum is damaged but is it pmd, die clash, or filed, or damaged die. pluribus2.jpg pluribus3.jpg pluribus4.jpg pluribus5.jpg pluribus1.jpg

    More than likely, it is the result of a grease-filled die.
