    Hello,

I was looking through some penny rolls from the bank for errors and I found this. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. This was taken through a 10x loupe so the l is somewhat visible. If it is indeed an error could someone tell me if its worth anything. Also, Im new to cherry picking any tips on that would be very helpful.

    Much appreciated,
    Sam

    Welcome to CoinTalk Sam.

It looks to be a filled die.

I agree with the others, grease filled die. Doesn't add any value but they are always fun finds.

Common grease filled die. The second coin is a die chip, also common.

I've seen the filled in "D" a lot and figured it was an error but since I saw so many of them I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be worth anything.

Welcome to CoinTalk. You'll learn a lot, here.

I, too, think it's a grease filled die.

Grease or debris on the Die prevented the L in LIBERTY from showing. It's very common and adds no value.
