Well today I was looking through the family coin jar, you know, the kind you put the change in when you get home and all the coins add up. Well I found a few coins I needed as I was sorting. Then I found this:

Anyone know how much it may be worth? if you tilt it upwards you can sorta see a 1 and the top of the 9, but very very light and hard to see. Thanks!

It looks like it might have been struck through grease. Grease strike throughs are usually worth a couple dollars each.

Aye, 'struck through grease' die error.

The most common of all errors apparently.

As Charlie said - it might be worth a couple of dollars. I doubt it would be worth $5.

I have a 1987 quarter with smudged " In God we trust" in good shape. Is it worth anything?

Struck through grease. Very common. It should retail for about $4-5.
