This whole thing is about the size of a 50-cent flip. The dates are 1977, except for the half, which is 1972. Can't make out any of the mint marks, so I won't ask for your grades. But I'm thinking somebody fell asleep at the switch and let the dies reduce too far. OK...sincerely...any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thats pretty neat. I wonder what the cashier at Wal-Mart would think if you tried to buy a soda with these...lol
I've seen them at coin shows for around $2.95. You can get them here for double that http://www.c-g-collectibles.com/mini-mint-coin-set.html
They are struck. I visited a coin shop in Terre Haute & met the man that made the dies. If you want to purchase bulk quantities, contact: Coin Cottage 1605 South 7th St Terre Haute, IN 812-232-4405 Very best regards, collect89
You guys are so knowledgeable, thanks very much for the information! And rest of you, thanks for the giggles!
Imagine the havoc one could cause if he sent out a chain email saying that these would be the new circulating coins for 2009.
