    Good morning,
In my last Metal Detecting thread I presented one item that I had no idea what it was. In my video I even stated that it probably was not worth trying to figure out what it could be :yack:

Well.. I let the item soak for 5 days and I checked it out this morning. After gently rubbing off the leftover crust it finally was revealed what it was..

It is toasty but I will take it! :woot:

I love historical maps too . My secret tool in Metal Detecting . CT. has a great site for maps of all of Connecticut . I'm sure your city has detailed maps as well ( old parks etc. ) .

Corlears Hook area when it was before the park I detect is where the word Hooker originated from.
No need to explain that one!

That's a terrific find @paddyman98!! I could not identify my 1909 LWC after digging it out of the sand in Hyannis MA. Unfortunately, I was around 14 at the time and reached for the bottle of ketchup to clean off the verdi. No patience at that age.
