I bought this set at least 10 years ago from my local dealer. Been fighting with my scanner all night as it were and losing most of the time but here's a glance. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0010-3.jpg All MS63 or better in my opinion. A few FSB as well. The 42-S is awesome! Really haven't looked at the set in a long time but got the loupe out. If I can get good scans of the 42-S I'll post them. clembo
Hey clembo, thats a very nice set. The Mercury Dime is one of my favorites. Hey, take a look on coinbug at the mercurys I have listed. Compare them to the ones you have. And if theres any in your set that arent quite as nice as the rest, let me know which ones and Ill trade you, even trade. The ones I have listed are just extras that I have, so I really dont care. Ill send you the very best one I have for the one you have. Just to help you make your set that much more pristeen. The pics I have really dont do the coins justice, so if theres any in your set that are not as nice as the rest, ask about the ones I have. My pictures make them look like crap, but some of them are quite stunning in hand.
Thanks guys. I'm not a huge Mercury fan but this set was nice so I bought it a long time ago. My mom loves it as she remembers them as a child. One of the few sets I have shown her that she teally did like (she's 75). Got a few pics of the 42-S. It is a blazing white coin. Will toss it up on another thread for grading opinions. Not my my field of expertise but a really nice coin. Here it is. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0001-6.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0002-5.jpg clembo
Very nice set. I've been wanting to start a set like this myself. Now you've given me that nudge to do so. Thanks for sharing.
