Is this 1909 vdb a matt proof? It has the reverse die scratch through the vdb but not the obverse die scratch on the back of Lincoln's lapel just under the ty of liberty. Any options..?
My opinion is not a matte proof. The rims are generally a good clue. If the rims are at all rounded, it’s a circulation strike.
If I ever wrote, directed, and starred in a movie about Coin Collectors... ...I'd be the lead character... ... and my name would be... Yup. Nailed it. And my middle name might be Lincoln.
Most definitely not a matte proof. A matte proof lincoln will be unlike any cent you have ever seen trust me
Just a really nicely struck and well-kept 1909 VDB business strike, and that's not half bad. There are some amazing ones out there.
Well, I love it even if it isn't a matt proof! Ill keep it in the #1 slot of my dansco album right where it belongs. Lol ..Thanks everybody for your response.
