I thought I would share a few of my German Patterns as my entry. These are among my favorite coins in my collection.

Great another contest! That's ok, I'll sit this one out but I saw that repousse eagle posted by @spirityoda that's a really nice one! ;) So I wanted to post my favorite one. I painted mine gold and pinned it on one of my hats, but here's a sellers pic from years ago! :D Thank you for the contest LordM and the donors who make it fruitful! :D

March is my son's birth month so I let him decide what to pick for an entry. He chose his newest addition to his eclectic collection. He picked this one up at the Baltimore show last weekend. A nice looking original hobo nickel.

Dear Christian (chrisild), Thanks for the word of warning re. "entry post". I was having problems with my statements, which kept disappearing and re-appearing. Probably my own incompetence. I only needed one copy of what I had written. And still do. I would ask for kindly assistance from lordmarcovan simply to delete any superfluous statements. To be allowed to participate in these Giveaways is such a golden opportunity, which one doesn't want to be squandered. Thanks again.

Technical difficulties, eh? Three duplicate entries, for a total of four! And then before that, when you tried to post your entry to my unrelated Ancient Coin forum thread? That was bizarre. o_O

But... no worries- I have used my magical moderator powers to fix it for you. ;)

Your duplicate entry posts have been removed. Your first entry post here, Post #38, still stands and is eligible, so 38 is your lucky number when the drawing comes around at the end of the month.

(Unless you post more duplicate entries...)

    Good luck!

Thanks so much, lordmarcovan, for sharing your magical moderator powers. I now live in a (virtually) problem-free world, and with my lucky charm, 38, I can now look forward to a good night's sleep !!! :)

I use 38 as a lucky number occasionally, since '38 was my father's birthyear. He just turned 80 last November. And for the most part, he's in better shape than I am at 53.

Hi lordmarcovan, Great that you have a happy father-son relationship. As for your age, you may be 53, but we all think that you're 35 !!!

Alas, 35 was eighteen years and more than a hundred pounds ago. *sigh*

Coin Related: Just today I sold a lot of ‘65 thru ‘69 Kennedys, 107 of them. Got $235...or $2.20 each. Seemed like a nice price. Now I just need to figure out what to buy with it.
