Certainly not! I’ll collect just about anything with that look (exhibit A below) but those are very interesting and attractive pieces.

    The Dime of Destiny

I was pumped when I found a CircCam clad Rosie in change minted where I was minted (Denver) the year I was minted (1987)!

I did my usual coinstar drop one day and as soon as I dumped I remembered that I had placed this in one of several change spots I keep around the house- I had meant to put it in a flip but forgot. I was seriously bummed, more bummed than I thought I could be over something like this.

Lo and behold, about a month later I put on a jacket and heard a jingle in the pocket, and whaddya know, it was in there!! :):):):)

Well, the ancients used two dies and pre-crafted planchets. Roller dies were something of a parallel side road, I guess.

That's great. I have my own "dime of destiny" story. Remind me to post it later. No time just now. It's kinda freaky.

Oh really? Ok it makes sense .Honestly I formerly thought ancient coins used pre made planchets but no dies and just the design was embossed into the coin with a hammer. Shows how dumb I am when it comes to ancients.

You're right about the hammer part, but there were still dies involved.

Eleven coins! And I thought my collection was small! But if one of those coins is a 1909-S VDB, well, that's something.

Here's a picture I took and used for one of my college journalism assignments. I think I actually ended up even using it in final project. So coins helped me graduate haha.

A nice circ cameo coin I picked up recently. It lives in a PCGS holder, VF20. I love the look!

First currency I ever bought. It’s rough, but I’m broke and getting started. $8 for these.
