Few pick ups for my Buffalo set. Yea I know, not the best but hey I'm poor. And then my first 1938 Jefferson. Looks really nice and had a very low price.
1955 Washington Quarter Proof (PCGS PR66). I may have gotten lucky getting this in PCGS plastic -- but the glossy mirror and neon color are just outrageous. There are actually some signs of elevation chromatics on this coin.
I haven't received this one yet, but I can't wait to get it. I have been looking for this for a couple of years now for my type set. I finally bit the bullet and picked this up on another forum. I do like the die-clashes.
This is one of those hard-to-find-for-a-decent-price uncirculated commemorative silver dollars that I've been on the look out for. The 1996 National Community Service Silver Dollar
I've laid off getting Morgans for the past year or so but last week I was in Carson City in the LCS across the street from the old mint. These two are from the bargain bin...
Proof 1964 Kennedy half dollar coins, without mirror-like fields. The fields are somewhat dull, almost matte-like. Myself and J. T. Stanton have seen them, and I own one. I understand that they are quite rare. The coins are well struck and look great!
Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of this variety. It sounds great, I haven't seen one. I should be more clear about my sets, I have yet to bite the bullet and get the 1998 matte finish Kennedy half for either of my sets
I already had a decent Trajan Decius with a Genius reverse, but I was bored with it. I saw this listed on a dealer's site for a great price and unloaded my other for some profit and got this. I mainly wanted this for the reverse since it's a better Pannoniae with clasping hands compared to the other Pannoniae reverses that are more common. Trajan Decius (249 - 251 A.D.) AR Antoninianus O: IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG; radiate, draped & cuirassed bust right. R: PANNONIAE; the two Pannoniae, veiled, standing right and left facing one another, clasping right hands in front of standard between them. 22mm 3.2g RIC IV Rome 26
The Type1 Standing Liberty is my favorite all time coin and the series is my favorite and I don't own a single example. That is in my opinion the best design the US mint has ever issued and I like a bunch of them but the SLQ has class and beauty.
Picked these up at a pawn shop in Florida along with a couple old notes. It was a nice vacation mixed with a small amount of hobby related activities. They just looked like nicely circulated examples.
