At a joint coin club meeting held last weekend here in Western New York, I picked this up for Thalia Elizabeth. You might remember that she collects three coins (other than gold!): a) coins from her birth year, 2000 b) coins from 1900, because they are 100 years older than she is c) coins with Queen Elizabeth on them. This meets criteria b: I like the detail on the reverse-- no missing feathers!-- but the obverse does seem to show a little bit of wear and there's that scratch on the cheek. I paid about the going rate for an AU coin so I think this was a reasonably good deal. It's arguably better than any of the other (few) Morgans we have including the one in my 20th Century Type Set... but this one won't be "poached" since technically 1900 was in the 19th Century. And Thalia likes it :hug:
