Kennedy-Mexico medal

    Here is another item I inherited from Grandpa.I'll never know how he came up with some of this stuff.
    Is anyone familiar with this particular medal? It appears to be Kennedy and two others and features the American-Mexican flags on the reverse.Maybe a state visit or treaty :confused:

    Don't know anything about this particular medal but the word "Chamizal" and the year 1963 refer to the US-Mexican agreement concerning the border along the Rio Grande. The date refers to when the treaty was signed.

    It has something to do with the 28th of August, 1963 as the culmination of something started in 1866. The Rio Grande border, I guess, as Chris said.
