Well sure, but isn't that how it actually appears on all the coins?

Never mind that. How many front right ( his right) shoulders does he seem to have?

Wow! I just saw that, also cover up the face of the bear and it looks like a gorilla. Weird!

Might be a tad more challenging to find one that is not.

That is a Kentucky bear on an Alaskan Quarter......I would consider this cent a mule....the bear too.

I see a rock under the bear's belly. Not a fifth leg.

It's a grizzly bear and it is correct. We see them all the time here in Montana.

At first the legs appear strange, but now it looks normal to me.

what the picture doesn't show well is the bear has a rare spine disorder that has a 90 degree bend in the middle of the spine.. That is why you it appears to show a front view on head half and a side view on the rear portion... maybe it lives near a nuclear reactor.

Correct... you see his two front legs, his fat belly resting on a rock, and his right rear leg. His left rear leg is hidden by his big bear belly. So only three legs are visible.:)

I don't think it's a rock, I think it's the back foot under his belly... if you look at the artist concept sketches it's a bit more clear.

Yep... there's always some detail lost on the actual coin...

I apologize, that is not a Kentucky bear. I agree that this bear is probably from Montana and just recently migrated to Alaska; however in light of this new evidence,( that this is not the bears fifth appendage.) I must conclude without a doubt that this is an Alaskan bear....(that migrated from Montana):goof:

I don't buy the migration theory...

This was from post number 12 of this forum. This person actually saw the bear, so we have an eyewitness that it was once in Montana.
