Hello all, I was sorting out some scrap silver and saw this. There seems to be a little overlap to the top left of the D and slight doubling on its right. There is also a little up top. These are the best photos I could get. Thanks all!
The more I look at it and try to convince myself that it isn't, the more that it looks like it may be. Compare it to the high quality pictures here. Does it match every detail exactly? http://varietyvista.com/09b WQ Vol 2/RPM Detail Pages/1950DOMM001.htm
It matches pretty well... here’s a better photo I was just able to take I don’t want to scrap it in case it might be lol

I flick back and forth and there are some inconsistencies between the VV one and this one. The VV one is sharper , but I am not convinced there is an 'S' there on either. But this isn't a favorite series of mine for varieties. benne911, certainly do not discard it. I have a group put away that I personally am on the border with, and they will probably pass to my son some day, and he can try. Jim
The mintmark position appears somewhat lower on yours, but is something that could be cleared up with a quick photo overlay.
I am interested in seeing a photo overlay, if our local wizard @justafarmer could manage that. However, the slight inconsistencies continue to bother me. Is this possibly an undiscovered OMM? It looks like it may actually be a D/S/S, which would explain things a little more clearly. I want to see the overlay, but it may be time to get James Wiles at CONECA involved.
Follow the instructions on this page. You want James Wiles: https://conecaonline.org/attribution-services/
It very well may be. Hang on to that one until you get certification. Take it to a coin show and ask the vendors.
