OOPS. Just read that the 1997 double ear may be de-listed. Now thought to be a die chip. Fivaz or Stanton may have changed their mind ?
    Sorry
    Still a great find !

I don't know if this is an omen of things to come, but I have been finding an inordinate number of 2009 Lincoln's in the parking lot of the local 7-11.

I found a torn up Lincoln in the grocery store parking lot yesterday. I can put it in a roll that I'll use to trade in at the bank for a 'new' roll to search. I have a question for those of you searching and finding silver coins. Are you selling them? Are you adding them to your collection? If you sell, are you buying items for your collection with the proceeds?

I have not found any Silver roll searching. But I have sold a very few items on eBay and bought some supplies and some lots of coins. I managed to get a 55coin lot of nickles 40-war time and a 1938 D vg-f that completed my album.
Now to upgrade as they come along. lol It's Never done.

But my situation requires that my hobby sustain itself for the most part.

Everyone, I think, has to use their collection to maintain his/her hobby. Like you, I smell a sell to buy an upgrade. . . Yes/No??

True pic of my cat. He's scizophrenic. He does vertical jumps up the wall about 4 feet. Found him while walking. He was very small and had mange. I guess his momma took him from the litter and dropped him in the street! He has momma issues. haha

I have been finding silver dimes, and halves, and I am mostly just working on making an accumulation.

My wife returned an abandon stoller in the mall the other day for the $0.50 reward. One of the quarters she got was 1979 S Proof Quarter!

I like "junk", because it is cheap, and I am still on a poor college student budget!

I started collecting junk coins from circulation back in 1959. Stopped in 1972 and just started again. I have some interesting ones that sat for nearly 50 years in coffee cans. Man, I wish I had taken better care of some of the junk, fo shizzle.

You think you're poor!!! What about us poor parents who have to pay for your tuition???

At least you hopefully have a steady source of income, that would allow you to graciously pay for our education?

And then there are those of us who don't suckle the teat, and are forced to take out student loans, simply because an inadequate social structure dictates that my guardians "should" be able to help me with my college education, eliminating the possibility of financial aid...

In other words, I'll walk out with a bachelors degree and $50k in debt. Some kid who's parents had crap jobs will walk out with a bachelors degree and $5k in debt. Fair... yeah right.

Ahem, my apologies. It's that time of year...

We're taking loans too. We worked honorably so we have to pay.
