Hi all. I’ve tried to find info on the krugerand but everything I come across shows a larger coin. The one I have is tiny. Can someone help me figure out what I have or point me to a website that can provide the info? The photo with the dime is to give you an idea of its size. Thank you.

it is a replica and worth little if nothing...notice it says "fine brass" on the reverse.

This is not gold. This is a replica of the South African bullion coin.

It is a novelty piece. I like how it has a sense of humor and says "Fine Brass" instead of "Fine Gold".

PS- the good news is, that dime looks like silver! ;)

Wow! That’s a good eye there LordM. It is in fact silver. It’s a 1964 and it’s my first one. Oh, and I found it in the CoinStar return bin the other night!

Nice find! I almost never get anything in a Coinstar reject bin, let alone silver.

Oh, BTW, see those staples ìn that 2x2 holder, and how your silver dime is laying across them? Uncrimped staples like that can be quite potentially dangerous to other nearby coins.

You'll wanna make sure all the coins you have in holders like that have had the staples crimped (i.e., flattened). Pinch 'em flat with a pair of pliers. That keeps the ends from poking out and becoming lethal weapons to the other coins in your boxes. I've seen some tragic staple scratches.

Thank you for the reminder. I know that should be done, but I was so into figuring out what other coins I had and completely forgot. I definitely don’t want my other coins to get messed up so I will take care of those staples immediately.
