The one on the right looks like a Commemorative of some kind produced perhaps by the Vatican. Then again it may have been produced privately. Either way though they guy depicted on it is Pope Pius XI. He was Pope from 1922-39.
The medallion on the left shows a statue of Maria Immaculata, and the French text (from a prayer) says "O Marie conçue sans péché, priez pour nous qui avons recours à vous". In English that would be "Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you". Christian
