I would like to get a comment on this fine 1942 Lincoln wheat double die on date

    I am either going to grade NCG or PCGC my first find today .

    This my second find 1984 Lincoln Penny Double ear. And Doubling etc.

    I would try to identify the variety (if it is indeed a known variety) then see how much of a premium they may bring. I don't know these varieties very well at all and I can't make out anything unusual about either of the coins with the images, but you'd probably pay more for the grading service than the coins are worth. If you want to get them graded just because you enjoyed the find and don't mind the costs, I say go for it.

    Your pictures is way, way too far away. We can't see anything. I can't even read the date let alone identify it as a double die.

    I agree with planman2014. I can not tell a thing about the coins. I say spend them.

    First, welcome to the neighborhood @Barbara Daniel !

    You would be wasting your money submitting either of these coins for grading. Instead, I'd suggest that you use the (saved) money to buy a couple of books such as the Red Book and a book on grading.
