I Picked Up This GEM today, Check This Piece Out!!!!! Let me know wht you think i should have paid, I bought it raw, and the dealer isnt that bright. One clue, it was low grade in his eyes. Let me know what you think... Only testing the forum so I can see who votes what then when it comes back from PCGS so I can see who is most accurate. *NOTE, This coin is under plastic*
Based on your pic's MS-66. Nice coin!!!! One of my next purchases in the future. Where did you get it?
I have 6 of these now, I just picked this one up today from my local dealer, but he does not belive in grading and he is like 90 so I get away with alot, but I don't take advantage. In fact I think he has screwed me at least a couple times, but I would say were even now... >
Nice DDO. I don't have one of those (unless you send me yours) Two problems for me when grading a coin that high and from images: 1. Images at that scale show a lot of blemishes that aren't seen in hand or even under a 3-5x magnification. Hard to tell what counts and what doesn't to the TPG. 2. Hard to tell what counts and what doesn't to me either.
Stella, Nice pick-up! The 1972 "Doubled Die - DDO# 1" Lincoln Cent is a very popular Variety! It is somewhat hard to tell the true condition of the coin but from what I can see, I would say MS-64RD. Frank
It could be that some of us (at least me) are a little tired of the "Guess the Grade" game. Are you looking for validation of your good fortune for finding and being able to afford it? If so, just show the picture, tell us the details, accept the praise and move on. Sheeesh!
