I am new to coin collecting. I had bought a 1974 Canada Winnipeg 100th anniversary silver dollar uncirculated coin at my local antique store in the us. This coin is in a proof case when I bought this coin for $6.50 On the back of this coin I see "B" mint mark on top of this coin and I see "PP' mint mark on the bottom of this coin. Is this coin a double yoke coin? Thanks, Chris
According to the book its worth around what you paid for it, probly a bit less ($5.75)... I'm pretty sure the PP and the B are the designers marks, Paul Pederson and Patrik Brindley. composition: .50 Silver
It's my understanding that the double yoke is only found in the coins made for circulation( though,of course, they never do) and not in the cased proofs. Bill
Since the $6.50 purchase price was in US dollars and the Canuck dollar is worth about 75 cents US, it's worth about the same or a little less than when you bought it.
