I recently found this coin but have no experience with coins or coin collecting. I have tried my best to research information about it on the web but I have had virtually no luck. I believe the coin is silver and has Hindu orgins but thats about it.

The coin has a Hindu swastika on the front with "Bombay 999" on the bottom underneath it. On the back side it features 2 idols. I believe the one on the right is the Hindu God Ganesh. That is about all I know. Does anyone know what this coin is? Does anyone know it's value?

    Thanks.

Greetings and Welcome to Coin Talk....:hail:
Its not a coin but rather a silver round/charm.
The obverse has Hindu Goddess Laxmi on left and Ganesh at right.
And yes the reverse has a left handed Swastika- Hindu symbol of prosperity.
These are made by Jewelery shops and comes in various designs and compositions.
    They are worth about $5.
    Hope this helps.:)

Im guessing 999 means .999 fine silver. So if im right that means it is worth one ounce of silver?
    Am I right?
    (That is just a guess)

I think you are right about the 999. Does anyone else have any other opinions?
