Grade opinions/guess the grade on this 1834 capped bust half

    This coin was graded by PCI. Please offer your opinion to the grade, and also if you wish, guess the grade that PCI assigned it.

    I would put it at a 53/55. PCI may have put it in a 58 holder. It is a very nice coin!!!

    Well, as you know it's an 1833 and the grade looks to be in the AU-55 range :D

    Me: XF 45

    Looks like a nice coin -- the eye-appeal looks very nice. However, given the high number of cleaned coins in this series, I'd be on the lookout for hidden signs of cleaning.

    I don't like the stories I hear about that ebay seller but I must say I bought a coin from him once...a 1926-S Buff that was also undergraded a point just like this one.....
    Maybe a trend :D :D
