This sent me deep but thank you so much for reading the coin! Looking at all of the Zeus ANTIOXEΩN TΩN coins, the TΩN portion was never under the legs of Zeus like that so I started looking deeper, thinking my coin still had a cornucopia. I actually went back through my own collection notes and found that I tried to ID this back about two years ago and landed on a Hendin 414. Looking around even more, I saw one example which had a bundle of grapes next to the cornucopia- a feature mine seemed to exhibit. Wildwinds had another grape coin, this time called Rouvier 962. There are more examples of these. These align with your Ake-Ptolemaïs, roughly time of Antiochus IV attribution Sulla80 (and your Seleucid guess Ryro!), so many thanks for the confirmation! This all just tells me that I need to get better at reading Greek legends and organize my notes better.

Quick edit: The style of the cornucopia on my coin is quite unlike the Rouvier 962 shown above. My type is more like the Hendin 414 type below. I'm not sure what the difference or correct attribution is here.

 

Congrats - and good call - now that you point it out - I can see the Jugate busts on your coin! it was the positioning of TΩN that I had trouble with too.

The scepter with wreath on the CN LENtulus fits the bill for me:

@akeady, that's a beautiful coin from the Cayon Subastas auction from the end of February. How long ago did you receive it? I still haven't gotten my one coin from that auction (also a Republican denarius), although I finally got word a few days ago that they had received the export permit and had shipped the coin.

 

@DonnaML - thanks, it came on 11th April - it (and another coin) was in a package posted on 24th March. It's possible that export permits for within the EU are processed more rapidly than those for outside, but not sure.
