I found this penny at work the other day. It is smooth on both sides, doesn't look in any way that it has been messed with. It actually looks like the press missed it on both sides. Could this be worth anything??

    This is one side ...

It's a penny planchet and to some, it's worth more than a penny but not to me. However, is it a new one (copper plated zinc) or an older solid copper one?

    Ribbit :)

Weigh it on a balanced plastic spoon compare both the copper date before 1982 and the newer Zinc-copper plated after 1982. The earlier date will be heavier. See Red Book for reference. But either way/weigh it has collectable value to Numismatic nerds like me.

It is a unstruck type # 2 (coin has been through the upsetting mill, has a rim) blank planchet. Normally these can sell from $1 to $3 depending how nice they appear.

Images will make it easy for you to get good answers. It's hard to describe a coin with words.

    What Queen?

Coins are struck not printed. Paper currency is printed
