Experimental Peace Dollar

Does anyone know if the experimental clad peace dollars made in 1970 were dated 1970 or were they dated 1964?

1970 would have been a good year to bring back the Peace. My understanding is that 3000 were struck in Feb. of 1970 and tested for long term durability and were all destroyed by Dec. of that year. I assume but don't know they were dated 1970.
