    Hi again,
I have a French hammered gold coin which to all intents looks like a Ecu d'or a la chaise of Philip VI France, but I cannot make out the legend except for a cross at twelve o'clock on Obverse followed by what appears to be a mintmark and then VII and possibly another I
It should read the following if it were a first minting of this coin, the coin weighs 3.71gms
22 mm. Obv: PHILIPPVS:DEI| xGRAx|FRANCORVM:REX, figure seated on a Gothic throne, holding a sword, shield of lis. Rev: XP'C:VINCIT:XP'C:REGNAT:XP"C:IMPERAT, cross in anornamented quadrilobe. D249, C282.

However there are no lis in Shield and there is writing below throne possibly W/N/M and OD, the reverse is correct.
Please take a look at the coin by going to http://www.trocadero.com/redmouse and look for the coin, It should be the first one on the list, I have only just posted it to the site so it might take a few hours before it appears, I would appreciate your help on this one.
