Quick question from a newbie...In regards to the ASE's, I got one off of ebay that was graded by NGC at MS69 early release (2009). Does the early release designation give more value to the coin or is it still based on the overall condition?

    It's a bullion coin (worth melt + a small premium) unless it's a 70. Then e-bayers go crazy.

thinm of it this way.. the mint make a billion ASEs in the first 30days. how many dies does it take to make that many coins? and the TPG's mark any coin in the 1st 30 days as early release. Its a SCAM!!!

If i were to get the last coin off the die on day 29, and had it slabbed as early release... do you really think it would be better then the 1st coin off the die on day 32?

The early 'anything' gimmick produced by the TPG's adds nothing to the value. BUT... Ebay folks really do bid on anything lol

this is not to say i dont also have early release or 1st strike designated slabs :) i grab a deal no matter what the plastic says lol
