The lighting is making it really tough to tell wear. I think it's probably an MS61. I can see it as an AU58 though.
I'm going to say its MS60 as I don't see any wear. Too many marks in my opinion for it to grade higher though, even if it is a large gold coin.
I was thinking MS62 - could be the lighting making it look all ticked up and I am not any good at grading gold.
Those were my thoughts. I could see it going much lower on the AU scale due to the clutter - and the weak strike on the torch. Maybe AU53.
Yup -- that's what I say when I'm not sure. Seriously, that coin is a classic slider, IMO. Could go 58 one day, could go 63 another -- that's what I meant. Was a bit surprised DGS called it a 58. Encouraged, actually...Mike p.s. DLRC scans make it practicually impossible for me to distinguish sliders - as wear/luster is the distinguishing factor and this very factor comes out poorly in scans, and the TPGS are anything but consistent.
