    @ScottLarock you have a decision to make, 1) listen to the people here who ALL tell you it isn't doubling and go on to learn something or 2) insist you are right and stay in the dark.

    I've not reviewed the tutorial posted in the Error Coins forum, but that may be a good first resource to understanding die doubling. Developing the eye will take time, especially if an individual intends to discover unattributed doubled dies. But with regards established DDOs/DDRs, there are many established resources that include die markers to help you attribute a coin. If you don't see the doubling or aren't sure, look for the markers. If you don't find them...then you are probably staring at a normal coin. Age and wear can make the attribution more difficult, hence the need to be able to see the doubling altogether. Eventually things get easier with expanded knowledge. Good luck Scott.
