    It could have been a beat up 93s and he would have more than tripled his money. It wasn't a 1921 though.

    According to the article, "The Morgan dollar modified by Booteen dates from 1878 to 1900, according to coin type expert John Roberts, based on diagnostics on the reverse."

    To me it's no longer a coin, but a work of art, and I think that was reflected in the price. Otherwise, it's a details Morgan. ;)
