1829 Capped Bust Half Does this look suspect to anyone? Look at the folds in the cap, the shape of the face, the size of LIBERTY on the cap... I'm sure the list goes on. http://cgi.ebay.com/1829-Capped-Bust-Half-Dime-BU-Awesome-Album-Tone_W0QQitemZ300244854704QQihZ020QQcategoryZ149929QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
Look to the right of the shield on the reverse, and look at the amount of the eagle's body that is exposed next to the shield.
Rhog , had me going there , couldn't see anything wrong with it , then I'm asking myself why can't I , Then I reread your thread . LOL , Thanks for the laugh I needed that . rzage:smile:hatch::hammer::kewl::hail:
Yeah I'm sure everyone will get a laugh out of this. I just was looking at CBH's for hours then stumbled onto an add without paying attention... I was like wow this looks strange. What a moron.
Yea staring at stuff is kinda hypnotic , I kept staring at it trying to find something wrong , that I said to myself , hey the stars don't go all the way around , talk about feeling stupid :desk: .LOL rzage:smile:hatch::hammer:
You guys realize that this coin is a capped bust half dime not a capped bust half dollar. Now, I don't know enough about this series to say that this coin is counterfiet or not, but at the very least I think this coin has some kind of problem whether it be cleaned, dipped & retoned, or AT.
LOL - I got caught to. Started reading from the top down and did not really look. I just kept focusing on the eagle and that liberty.
Sometimes you can snip some awesome deals. I paid $45 for this coin a year or so ago. It was listed as a CBH. The 1834 was also a mis-listing and it was picked up for $30.00. 1832 LM-7, V-9 (R2) 1835 LM-8.1, V-5 (R2)
