I always have two coins in my pocket; a '45 Walker that I found under the hedge of the place we bought a few years back and our unit 'coin'. Here's the Walker
I have carried a Kennedy half as a pocket piece for over 20 years. I lost the first one in 1994. Got a new one and have carried it ever since. It is interesting to watch the progression of the wear. (Copper-nickel doesn't wear nearly as fast as silver.)
I have a worn as of Emperor Claudius. I think its a Minerva type, but the reverse is demolished, so I can't tell. It was already nice and smooth before I got it, so it feels great!
An experiment to try is to carry around a silver coin that you know has been cleaned. Over time, as a tiny bit of the surface is worn away from handling and contact with other coins, I believe it is possible to "unclean" the coin. So you might start with an XF cleaned coin and end up with a pretty nice VF with no sign of cleaning that might be worth more than what you started with.
