http://www.coinworld.com/articles/2010_02/E_1964D.aspx?email= I like this article a lot, but not so much for what it had to say about the notorius minting of the distroyed 1964 Peace Dollars. I found the parts about the equipment and production processes to be of the greatest interest. (note: this attempt #5 at posting this message).
sunflower, That is a nice article on the 1964 D Peace Dollars. I think you would be interested in the "Official Red Book"--A Guide Book of PEACE DOLLARS. By Roger W. Burdette with Barry Lovvorn. There's so much in there pertaining to the whole Peace $ series that you'll want to collect them all. I bought mine from Amazon.com and It was really inexpensive. As a PLUS, you can order anything through a CoinTalk link and CT gets a bonus. Actually, for the holiday season I bought 3 Red Book Guides from Amazon, so I could learn more about the coins I already collect. Yeah, I know about "Buy the book before you buy the coin". Which is really very good advice. Anyway, Keep on with your coin hobby. And enjoy it all. Bruce
