I'd like the 1896-P Morgan $. I don't have that date of Morgans and I like silver and the coin appears very nice. It's also as close as I'm likely to get to an 1895 Morgan $ so there's that.

Harper should hopefully turn up safely.

    Sadly, she hasn’t. :(

Living out here in the country, we’ve occasionally had some of the outdoor kitties go AWOL. I can only hope they’ve gone on to other nearby homes with friendly, food-sharing humans. There’s always that hope. But it’s a big world out there. We had one go missing for 38 days once, only to eventually return, skinny and disheveled, after having no doubt lived wild in the woods for a while.

Best wishes to Harper. Thankfully, you are more responsible than to blame your neighbors for eating her.

There was recently an article about a kitty that somehow got 800 miles closer to home. Eventually she was picked up and returned to the owner. She was also microchipped.

Saw that! One or two of ours that vanished were microchipped. Never heard more. Harper, alas, is not.

That would be richly ironic, given the political proclivities of my neighbors, as evidenced by their yard signs. And that is all I’m gonna say about that. ;)

I would select the 1939 Lincoln Cent in NGC holder. It would be an upgrade for the raw example in my set. Thanks.

@hbarbee- I see you also entered the Collectors Universe giveaway (which is great).

But over there, you posted your entry in the announcement thread, not in the giveaway itself. You need to repost your CU entry in the giveaway thread over there, so your entry will count and you won’t get missed in the drawing.

The CU giveaway and this one will have two separate drawings this time, so one prize will be awarded in each contest.

(If any of the rest of you are CU members, you are of course welcome to enter the separate contest over there as well.)

Entry post for the half-real, I'd love some solid world silver. Copper's been my go-to lately. 1911CanCentOBV 2.jpg 1911CanCentREV 2.jpg

I might like the Three Cent Nickel depending on the condition. I've never had one in my collection before. But if it's not to my liking, I'd want to try for the Steel Cent again. Thanks for hosting these giveaways!

The 3cN (sorry I still haven’t had a chance to photograph it), is not a fantastic example (though it’s not awful, either). As I recall, it’s an average circulated example- maybe VG-ish (Fine at best), with perhaps a minor rim imperfection, as I recall. Acceptable, but not great.

If you win the drawing, I’ll fetch it from my safe deposit box and photograph it so you can decide.

    PS- nice Barber quarter, BTW.

We are still in recovery mode from Hurricane Helene here. Thankfully I have power and water back on at home, and the power is restored at work, though it will be some time yet before all services are restored and businesses reopened.

I will try to do the drawing tonight (in the wee hours of Wednesday morning). Shipping of the prize might be delayed slightly.

    Coingratulations, @KBBPLL !

You have won the 1864 2-cent piece, unless you opt to change your mind (note that I added some new prize lots during the month, though not all are photographed). Have another look at the prize list and let me know what your final selection is.

I do ask your patience with shipping, since the USPS in this area and I are both still dealing with the disruptions from Hurricane Helene.

Also, please post here to this thread later, when you have received the coin, so we'll know you got it.

    Numismatic regards,
