Have a chance to buy 100 2.1 Troy ounce silver bars for $30 a piece. Thats slightly less then 15$ an ounce. With silver over 17$ I was thinking about pulling the trigger. Wonder if it will fall back under 15$ an ounce. Would any of you guys take the plunge.
Sterling silver is 92.5% silver, unlike other silver bars which are generally 99% silver. First, check to see if your silver content is correct. If it is, it might be selling at a discount because sterling silver is in less demand than pure silver products. It could be that when you sell, you'll sell at the same discount, so take that into account. As far as silver goes, I expect it to break $20 by the end of the year, but I could be wrong...........
I generally avoid sterling silver out of fear it will be too hard to sell. Buy what is easy to resell, not what is cheapest.
