I've seen this periodically. . . Check out the blocked serial number. http://www.ebay.com/itm/A977066-67-...634?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35cbac9be2
Thinks he's protecting himself from the Feds. Doesn't know that it is legal to display a complete number.
But of course! If the notion that bills were produced in sequential serial numbers ever got out the counterfeiters could have a field day!! Perhaps I said too much already?
Maybe it's stolen and can be Id'ed by the full serial number ?. Or maybe the guy is just a nut case. Then again probably not. Bill Collector
I'm just going to throw something out there, for your consideration... He has a whole bundle of bills and does not want to be a bad seller by sending you a different number than pictured. He does not want to hadle all bills with his fingers and take a photo of each. This way you get what is pictured and with less skin oils on it. Sound feasible? Proof of other transactions... http://www.ebay.com/sch/Coins-Paper...H_Complete=1&hash=item35cbac9be2&_ssn=ichulus Remember, he could be selling these notes in several places.
No it doesn't sound feasible, that's no reason to block out the eyes and other stuff. If he has a whole bunch of notes he could just say serial numbers are my choice. Something is not right with this sale. Bill Collector
Ok, Ya got me on that one, I didn't check the acution as I had no interest in buying something like that. Bill Collector
