Been awhile for Silver. CRH finds.

Hello all, Meow has been working on that big stack of quarter rolls Meows stashed over the years. Meow CRH in a bunch of rolls saved in the 2019-2020 era. Meow has been through many thousands of quarter rolls hunting and has an idea of the hardest modern quarter to find. Meow is sure depending on where one lives it will be different levels of scarcity for each issue. Not counting mintmarks the hardest one to find in Meows area is the El Yunque issue. Meow has yet to find even a half roll of these ever since Meow started CRH. How about the rest of the members here. What is the hardest to find quarter in your area?

So in this batch of quarter rolls Meow found two W quarters a Pilipino coin and a silver one. It has been quite a while since Meow found a silver quarter CRH. The Ws are a Lowell and Tallgrass ones. A good amount of Lowells where circulated in Meows area, but a very large amount of Tallgrass ones spread about so that is the most common one Meow finds. Cheers!

I find the W mintmark newer quarters really difficult to find.

 

Meow would guess that they were not widely distributed in your area. In 2020 only Tallgrass quarters were distributed in Meows area. The VERY few 2020 Ws of of other issues if found where brought from Tourists or locals coming back from trips. Well, at least what Meow thinks. Also to add to the theory, in the uncirculated rolls Meow collected. And Meow opened the heads/heads ones, only the Tallgrass quarter rolls yielded Ws. Odds were like one in every 3 or 4 rolls. Meow got paws on all the other 2020 issues in uncirculated rolls and they had none in them at all.

 

So thinking about the last reply. Meow regrets not totally emptying Meows banks accounts trying to get all the Tallgrass rolls when they were available. Meow did go out of this Cats way to get them. Meow should of went after them like this Cats life depended on it.

I have not encountered any "W" quarters but also have not done any coin roll hunting since well before they were released.

Thanks. Meow has been busy with other stuff for the last few years. Meow has a lot more free time now, and is working on the quarters rolls Meow had been saving for just this kind of time.

 

I've a good friend who's a quarter horse. Are you sure you're not a horse?

 

Mine isn't a quarter horse but it's a horse, maybe from the 1940's or sooner!

 

The most common W quarters where I am are the Samoa ones with the bat.Twelve of the 34 that I have found are this variety.
The only one that I haven't found is the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller one.

 

I want one of those!
